Common question
Where can I dispose of furniture for free?
If it’s still usable, give it away or donate it. Fayetteville’s bulky waste page points residents to Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Arkansas to see if items are eligible for donation.
If it isn’t, check your city’s bulk pickup. Fayetteville gives eligible households one free pickup a year, one category and up to five items. Rogers takes furniture, two bulk items a month at no charge. Springdale’s pickup caps couches at two a year. Each program has its own schedule and curb rules, so read your city’s page first.
Free stops working when it’s a houseful, when it’s upstairs, or when you can’t wait for the next pickup day. That’s what our furniture removal is for: we carry it out from wherever it sits and price it by the space it takes in the trailer.
City rules from City of Fayetteville: Bulky Waste, City of Rogers: GFL Curbside Waste and City of Springdale: Bulky Waste Program, checked September 30, 2026. Rules and fees change, so confirm with your city before you set anything out. Chums is not affiliated with any city, district or hauler.
