Your options in Springdale
Springdale Bulky Waste Pickup vs. Chums
Springdale Public Works picks up bulky waste twice a year for residents. It covers a lot, with rules worth reading before anything goes to the curb.
Local options, from official sources
- Springdale Public Works runs a bulky waste pickup. You call the week before, set items at the curb that weekend, and the crew comes by Monday to Friday the following week. The city says it can’t schedule a specific day.
- Each household gets up to 8 cubic yards per pickup, twice a calendar year, or one combined pickup of up to 16 cubic yards. Past 16, the city offers a paid service at $18.75 per cubic yard with a $150 minimum.
- You need proof of residency (a copy of your water bill). Apartment complexes with more than five units aren’t eligible.
- Yearly limits include 4 mattresses or box springs, 2 couches and 4 tires. Construction materials are capped at 2 cubic yards, and refrigerant has to be removed by a licensed professional first, with documentation.
- Not allowed: bagged items, cardboard, TVs, computers, paint and chemicals, bagged yard waste, and trimmings left by a for-hire tree service. The city says if any of these are in the pile, nothing gets picked up until they’re removed.
When one trip with Chums makes more sense
- TVs, computers, boxes and bagged junk are all on the city’s not-allowed list. We take them along with everything else, in one trip.
- Past 16 cubic yards the city charges by the yard. We price the whole load by the space it takes in our 16-foot trailer, agreed before we load anything.
- No water bill in your name, in a larger apartment complex, or already used both pickups this year? Call or text us instead.
- Leave it where it sits. Our crew does the lifting, the stairs and the loading.
